Roman Numeral Chords by Eye & Ear

This is one of the more advanced objectives. Use the buttons to display chords. This custom drill is set up in the key of C minor with open voicings. The Roman numerals indicate the position of a chord's root within the key signature. The larger buttons select the chord inversion or the chord inversion of the secondary dominant of the Roman numeral chord selected.

Before starting the drill the notes appear in colors on the staff. These colors show scale position similar to movable do solfeggio. When the drill begins, you must identify the chord displayed on the staff. It will be shown and sounded ascending, descending, or harmonic (solid). All notes are shown in black during the drill.

This drill can also be done "by Ear" or "by Eye". Do this drill "by Eye & Ear" first. Play and sing all of the chords to learn them before starting this drill.
